Groundworks Dance Co. is a Richardson-based training ground for dancers ages 8–19, led by faculty who've performed on Broadway-caliber stages, at the Super Bowl, the Grammys, and with artists like Lady Gaga, Adele, and Rihanna.
Professional dancers training the next generation of artists
Our director, Giovanni Allen, trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and American Ballet Theatre in New York. Our faculty includes performers who've danced for Lady Gaga, Adele, Ariana Grande, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, and Rihanna — with credits spanning the Super Bowl, the Grammys, Coachella, and major music videos.
Personalized feedback in a positive environment
We offer level-based instruction in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, and hip hop, with small class sizes that mean real, personalized feedback — not just a spot in a crowd.
Training at a serious level for serious results
Our performing company trains 16–20 hours a week and competes at conventions in contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and open categories. Many of our dancers go on to pursue dance professionally or in college programs after high school.
