Four days of in-depth training across genres including jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and modern. This faculty line up brings together established choreographers, dancers, and teachers from prestigious backgrounds to offer a unique experience for Dallas-area students.

Faculty

Giovanni Allen
Gio is the owner and creative director for Groundworks Dance Company and The Selective. Gio trained at Alvin Ailey American Dance and American Ballet Theater in New York. This is his 8th season leading the performing Company at Groundworks. He has been on faculty at Joffrey Ballet Texas, Dash Academy, Beyond Belief, Prodigy Dance and Performing Arts, as well as many other Dallas-area studios. His choreography credits include working with the band Kaleo.

Kaili Bright
Co-Director for The Selective and former artistic director for Joffrey Ballet Texas, Kaili has danced with some of the world’s most recognizable stars including Lady Gaga, Adele, Ariana Grande, Kanye, Justin Bieber, Rihanna and many others. Her credits include almost every type of media- music videos, the Super Bowl, Grammys, and live music events like Coachella. She brings a unique style to her teaching, combining performance and a fusion of technique and hip-hop to the studio.

Claude Alexander III
Originally from Washington, D.C., Claude attended Towson University in Baltimore, MD, where he studied Dance Performance under the mentorship of Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell and Vincent Thomas. Additionally, he studied at The Ailey School, Parsons Dance, and Dallas Black Dance Theatre’s summer programs. Alexander previously performed with the Dallas Black Dance Theatre as a principal artist for 12 years. Claude also performed as a guest artist with B. Moore Dance, Dance Iquail, Tuzer Ballet, Ballet Frontier, and most recently, Bruce Wood Dance.

Jaiquan Laurencin
In high school, Jaiquan was a break dancer and hip hop dancer. After graduating, he developed his jazz and modern techniques while performing with Equilibrium Dance Theater in Connecticut. In 2012, he moved to Texas and pursued his degree in ballet and modern dance at Texas Woman’s University. Jaiquan is an influential dancer, choreographer, and educator in the North Texas dance scene. He serves as a director for the Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy dance program.

Madison Bibb
Madison is a Texas native, born in Houston, but trained in New York at the French Academie of Ballet. Upon completing her ballet training, Madison delved into the world of contemporary dance and floor work. Collaborating with various choreographers, Madison contributed to the creation of new works and performed with several project-based companies throughout New York and Brooklyn before moving to Texas, where she is currently a member of 6 o’Clock Dance Theater in Dallas.

Aleigh Hawkins
A graduate of the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts, Aleigh attended Point Park University with a concentration in modern dance. Upon receiving her BFA, she returned to Texas, where she has become a beloved dance teacher at Groundworks Dance Company, as well as other area studios. Aleigh’s unique approach to teaching connects students to the movement while building confidence and technique.
